Warner Bay Thursday Night News
Warner Bay Thursday Night News
With a gust of bravado, the end of July has turned into a challenging wavy and exciting month for the Warner Bay Laser Fleet. Racing on Thursday July 17th was gusty with winds up to 20 knots at times. Many boats experienced the delightful greeness of Lake Mendota 2008. Ten Racers made it out on the 17th.
On Sunday no wind developed for the annual Madison LaserFest, which has typically attracted 20 boats. A new gas barbeque grill was tested and certified approved by the Laser Fleet and will be ready to go every Thursday. BYO food
This past week, thirteen racers made it out making it one of the largest night so far this year. Winds were a bit more moderate, with sunny skies and a 12-16 knots and that Mendota chop building to surfing and planning conditions. Jeff Russell helped for the second week in a row on the RC boat and took some fabulous photos. He later swaped into a boat and got some great finishes at the top of the fleet. See you on the water.
